What Is Perfume Scent Matching?
Perfume scent matching is the development of a fragrance based on an existing perfume or fragrance concentrate. It is also known as perfume duplication, perfume matching or fragrance recreation.
A physical reference communicates the scent you want more precisely than a list of fragrance notes. Our partner laboratories evaluate your sample and work toward recreating the overall character, from the opening impression to the heart and dry-down.
The developed sample is then compared with your reference and evaluated in your intended perfume base before approval.
Women’s Perfume Matching
Use a women’s perfume sample as the starting point for your project. Tell us which characteristics are most important: a bright fruity opening, a floral heart, a warm vanilla impression, a musky base or another distinctive feature.
Your brief should also explain the perfume format, intended fragrance concentration and target market. These details help define the development requirements.
Men’s Perfume Matching
We also work from men’s perfume references, including fresh, citrus, aromatic, woody, amber and other scent profiles.
Share the scent characteristics you want to preserve and your expectations for intensity and development over time. If you are matching a fragrance already used in your production, let us know about the intended base and dosage.
Unisex perfume references can also be submitted for evaluation.
How Our Perfume Duplication Service Works
1. Send Your Perfume or Liquid Reference Sample
First, send us a physical sample of the perfume or liquid containing the scent you want to recreate. Contact us before shipping so that we can confirm the required quantity and provide shipping instructions.
2. Laboratory Development: 2–3 Weeks
Once your reference sample has been received, our partner fragrance laboratories evaluate it and develop a matching fragrance concentrate. Laboratory development takes approximately 2–3 weeks.
3. Receive Your Matched Fragrance Sample
After laboratory development, we send you a sample of the recreated fragrance for evaluation. You can compare it with your original reference and assess whether it meets your expectations.
4. Evaluate and Approve the Scent
Review the opening, heart and dry-down, and share your feedback. If you already have a suitable perfume base, you can also evaluate the fragrance in that application. Your sample approval comes before any decision to purchase the fragrance in bulk.
5. Purchase the Fragrance and Develop Your Product
Once you approve the sample, you may choose to purchase the fragrance concentrate in 20 kg quantities, subject to the agreed commercial terms.
You can then use the approved concentrate to develop your own perfume formulation, test your preferred fragrance concentration and prepare your product for manufacturing, either yourself or with your chosen manufacturer.

Bulk Perfume Fragrance Concentrate
This service is for businesses sourcing fragrance concentrate for perfume manufacturing. The supplied material is intended to be incorporated into your finished perfume formulation.

Will the Matched Perfume Have the Same Longevity?
Longevity and projection should be evaluated in the finished perfume. The fragrance dosage, perfume base and conditions of use can influence the result. Include your performance expectations in the initial brief.
Are You Supplying Finished Perfume or Fragrance Concentrate?
This service supplies fragrance concentrate in 20 kg quantities. If you also require finished perfume development, describe that requirement in your enquiry so that it can be assessed separately.
